Our employment and HR advisers, James Hazel and Louis Harman, who are both accredited mediators, have a wealth of experience in the private and voluntary sector providing a pragmatic and dynamic support service to clients, from small independant charities to large international corporations.

Our team provide a complete HR service including tribunal representation, TUPE advice, prepartion of contracts and policies, disciplinary and grievance assistance, training, external investigation and general HR support.

Recent Work


Our recent significant work includes:

  • Advising an international federation charity in the restructure of its relationship with over 100 local federation members, incliding preparing a bespoke network agreement 

  • Unlocking the potential of a large £70m+ residential development in the UK that involved coordinating over 800 individual landowners

  • Designing and implementing a bespoke solution for an internationally recognised charitable brand required to repay over £1m in donations

  • Preparing customised service level agreements to coordinate non-clinical staff as part of Lincolnshire’s response to the Covid-19 vaccination programme

  • Successfully representing the interests of over 100 leaseholders in complex negotiations with a freeholder over cladding and fire remedial work costing in excess of £2m

  • Providing analytical and strategic support as part of a legal team managing complex and multifaceted tribunal and other proceedings conducted by a vexatious litigant, including obtaining Civil Restraint Orders and one of the largest cost orders ever made in the First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) against a party and his representative 

  • Designing and preparing a consortium agreement for a large group of like-minded charities seeking to pool resources and tender for public contracts collaboratively

  • Preparing tailored software licences and other legal documentation for programmes utilised as part of planning processes to evaluate social impact

  • Preparation of bespoke joint marketing agreement between transnational companies operating throughout the world in the marine brokerage industry

  • Routinely advising in connection with public contracts and procurement through local government, the levelling up scheme and ICBs

  • Various work on behalf of the educational arm of the UK Black Lives Matters movement

  • Recently engaged by regional charity to oversee legal framework for a large £1.5m plus refurbishment project to create voluntary hub under the UK’s government’s levelling up scheme
