About Us

​Jo qualified as a solicitor in 1997. She was an equity partner and formally the head of residential and commercial property at a regional law firm before retiring from traditional legal practice in 2014 setting up In-House (PBS) Limited, formally JCC Limited. Jo is a specialist in property development and, in addition to her consultancy work, is directly involved in house building, commercial construction and property investment. Jo combines her business acumen with her legal expertise to provide blue-sky thinking and legal troubleshooting for commercial clients, particularly in the construction industry. 

​James qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and was an equity partner in a regional law firm where he has headed up, at different points in his career, the corporate, litigation and employment teams. James retired from the profession in 2015 to later join In-House (PBS) Limited where he specialises in a broad range of disciplines with a particular focus on employment and commercial contract drafting. He has a breadth of experience in litigation management, including in the High Court and Court of Appeal, and a head for complex and high value cases. James also has a master’s degree in Law and Employment Relations with distinction. James is also a CEDR accredited mediator.

Louis qualified as a solicitor-advocate in 2017, and led a department specialising in personal and business immigration, whilst also advising on matters of general civil litigation. Louis joined the In-House team in 2020 to add to the employment, commercial drafting and litigation management services, and also brings to the table a suite of additional resources to support new and existing clients with their post-Brexit business immigration and global mobility concerns. Louis is also Assistant Director of Legal Services at Canterbury Christ Church University and CMC accredited mediator..
